Chromium crashes constantly

I moved from Firefox to Chromium because Chrome works well on my Windows computer. But on my homebuilt machine running 12.04 it frequently crashes, so I went back to Firefox. Chromium crashed most often when I tried to import bookmarks, but also when opening pages or trying to view images. Is this just a Chromium thing or is there something I need to do to make it stabilize? I searched the forum but didn't find anything that really helped. I have plenty of RAM and everything else works just fine.

Which version of Chrome you are using ? Its a stable version or Daily build .?

you can download chrome form:
https://www.google.com/intl/en/chrome/browser/

then you can install it :
sudo dpkg -i FILE_NAME.deb

then you can use chrome as firefox

Thank you but two questions: How do I uninstall it if it doesn't work right and what does "use chrome as firefox" mean?

If you need to remove any installed program, you should use this command

sudo apt-get remove SOFTWARE

if you need to remove firefox type:

Code:

sudo apt-get remove firefox

i think chrome is better than firefox
try it and then choose the best

No suggested solutions but just to let you know I am running 12.04 and have both Chrome and Chromium installed and have had no problems. I'd load Chrome alone and see if you have better results.
