Setting a default email notification option

    Hi

For some reason I'm unable to set a default option where I'm always notified by email when somebody responds to my post. on this forum, I have the option under "Additional Options" to set the Notification type. But when I posted to the Installation and Upgrade forum a few minutes ago, the "additional options" dialog doesn't show up, and so I can't set Notifications.

Ideally, I'd like to set "immediately notify by email" as my default option, presumably, in my User CP, but because I haven't made enough posts, I'm denied access to my profile.

Any advice would be most appreciated.

    thanks, Leo

For what your asking, in the past I would subscribe. then i would get emails.
    look at:
    http://ubuntuforums.org/profile.php?do=editoptions
there is a box,in "Default Thread Subscription Mode" you can select instant notification

    maybe thats what you want.

Thanks! Well, I'm sure this is what I want, but it's a casualty of this policy of not being able to edit my profile!!! Administrators, is there any way to allow us to set these defaults
