No wireless connections listed in Network manager in 12.10.

I just discovered this morning that I can't change wireless connections because there are not listed under my network setting. I am on my network, but I don't see any way to switch when I go on the road.

By the way there were there before. I tried restarting but that didn't work. Has anyone tried wicd with 12.10?

I just discovered that if I turn off my wireless network and turn it back on again I get a list of wireless networks available.
