    Ping 100% packet loss

    Hi
Much appreciate help on this. After I installed latest batch of updates I got a message in Firefox re shutdown browser to install changes. I am using wireless which has been fine on 12.04 since I installedit 2 weeks ago.

When I restarted (next day) browser could not access any site on the web.

The laptop connects to my wireless router OK. I have worked through the help on help.ubuntu (using a Win machine). No solution there.

I have used PING in Terminal and external sites return 'Unknown Host'.
When I PING local devices I get '100% packet loss'.
PING 127.0.0.1 gives '0% packet loss'
    nm-tool returns ' State: connected '

Is this a DHCP problem and how can I check?
