There is no need to delete it. When you install the freshly downloaded driver, the old one will be over-written.

Have you tried with no encryption at all? Even better, with WPA2-PSK?

On the drop down menu i chose none and i clicked on save but nothing happens. I does not refresh or connect. I click on my wireless or the edit on the bottom and no response . I can click as many times as i want but no response.

Rebooted and now i clicked on the network and it responded/asked the key. I clicked on the edit and to see whether the "none" no key on the wireless security setting still in place and it is still in place yet still asked the key code. Then it refreshed and few seconds later replied with "wireless network disconnected" and it tries again and again with the same response.

No change on wpa/wpa2 personal on settings. When i wanted to set the wpa/wpa2 on enterprise, it would hightlight "Save' button on the bottom right when entered key. No change on leap and dynamic either, even though i dont know what those are.

You certainly don't want Enterprise or LEAP, WPA2-Personal is preferred.

After you make changes, there should be a place to save. Then, I'd delete your old settings and reboot.

sudo rm -rf /etc/NetworkManager/system-connections/*

If you can't find a place to save in the router, maybe I can help. What is the make and model of router?

Wait, you were asking me on the desktop correct? I am connected to the router through my cell phone then to computer, that is how im coming back online and so forth. I will delete as you suggest and try on personal then see what happens, for the meantime, i will get router info.

WPA/WPA2 never connected even before, i could have saved that one and it did. WPA/WPA2 on enterprise would not have saved, or it would not let me. I ran the code and rebooted no difference.

In the router, set WPA2-PSK, not WPA/WPA2 if possible. Then, back in the computer, delete the settings, reboot, and try to connect. If you can't, post:

I dont have access to the router long story and i dont want to get into that. Long story. However im connected and know it works because i can connect oher stuff, cell phone and other computers.
