Cool Eee PC 1011CX Ubuntu 12.4.1 LTS: No hibernate option in power settings

Hi, I have Eee PC 1011CX running Ubuntu 12.4.1 LTS. I do not see hibernate option in power settings. I can see only "do nothing" or "suspend". So the issue is that if I simply leave the computer with lid closed (I have set "closing the lid" to "suspend"), battery completely dies out after some time and I have to start recharging again though I may not have used it at all. How can i solve this? "Hibernate" is not highlighted in power options.

    From the 12.04.1 Release Notes:

Hibernate (suspend to disk) has been disabled by default, as it was found to be unreliable, very slow and confusing to have two suspend modes. See bug 812394 for details. If you want to re-enable it, please follow -->This Recipe<--.
