    * Wallpaper: Dawn of Ubuntu, which comes in 4 (5 if you count the user-submitted Sunset pic) pictures that changes with the time of day.

    Very nice, so clean.

    Do

    Code:
    sudo apt-get install build-essential cmake libxrender-dev libx11-dev git kdelibs5-dev kdebase-workspace-dev
Then save scrpt from here in a directory and run with

    Code:
    sudo perl oxygen-setup.pl
Thanks for pointing this out. I'll try it and if possible I'll package in a ppa.

Here some screenshots of my current desktop. Ubuntu 12.04 on a Macbook Pro 8,2. I aspire towards a minimalist layout and don't want any panels in my way. I use compiz with cairo-dock, guake and synapse. No gnome-shell or unity.

    Window manager: compiz
    Dock: cairo-dock (icons: Awoken)
    Editor: scribes
    Terminal: terminator , guake
    Shell: zsh

Simple XFCE. No frills, other than a nice glossy black theme, which is fairly standard -- but not shown. Sorry.

Many, many years ago, a few months before Mrs QIII and I got married, we went to the Engineer Officers' Ball at Fort Belvoir, Virginia.

A friend took a snapshot of us cutting a rug.

The wallpaper is that snapshot, with the background replaced by the sort of backdrop you might see in a photo studio.

Mrs QIII is just as beautiful. I, on the other hand, have not faired so well over the decades.
