    NotifyOSD in GNOME Shell

Is it possible to get NotifyOSD / Shell OSD working in GNOME Shell so that notifications appear at the top-right in a bubble rather than as at the bottom in a rectangle?

Shell OSD isn't working for me for some reason. If I switch the slider to "On" and go in Advanced Settings to activate it, it's not there and the slider has switched back to "Off".

I have NotifyOSD installed via leolik repositories, and the NotifyOSD Configuration. But, notifications still appear at the bottom and not the top-right.

It's annoying because notifications get in the way at the bottom and don't go away unless I click on them. On top of that, their ugly.

I've been wondering exactly the same thing. I have all the bits installed same as you, but no dice. I see that the Chinese Ubuntu-derived distro Linux Deepin uses the same NotifyOSD setup as Ubuntu with Unity rather than the standard GNOME Shell notifications, so there must be a way
