@ALL, I own an iOmega Home Storage device 1TB NAS , which cannot be seen anymore when it is connected to router.
To resue the data, I tried to connect the iOmega directly to an older Sony Vaio PCV-W1-G 32 bit desktop, running Ubuntu 12.04 LTS.
I connected the iOmega with an UTP crossover cable and it appeared to be IP submask Broadcast address
On Ubuntu I added a network with IP on PC as [iOmega had] Subset Mask
Getting so far, my hope was that I could see and recover the disk one way or the other by entering its IP in the file search field of the Firefox browser.. but no such luck.
As I am just starting with Ubuntu.. any one more experienced out there has tips/suggestions?
TIA, Harry
