    general laggyness

ok i have just installed Ubuntu 12.04 amd64 but the mouse is seriously laggy
and for some reason moving the mouse causes other stuff like movies and animated gifs to stall and lag
also I should say that it was also laggy on the Live CD and it works perfectly well with Windows

I am relativly new to Ubuntu
but I have noticed that Graphics is set as unknown in Detail

    and my computers spec
    CPU: i7 2700k
    Ram: 16GBs
    MoBo: p8z68-v /gen 3

Go to System Settings (the gear cog) up in the far right corner, beside your name. Click on Additional Drivers and see what it says and recommends.

Have you ran the system updates yet? Usually after a new install, you are notified of lots of updates.
