    Question Lemur Arch 32 or 64?

    Hey guys,

    My title explain the situation pretty well. Would the Lemur (the original one, not the newer one) run 32 or 64 Arch? I installed Ubuntu with the 64 disc, but when I look at my Platform info, it says that I have i686. My best understanding of this is that it is a processor that cannot run 64, but it pretends to do so in order to utilize all 4 gigs of ram. Whether or not this interpretation is correct, I just need to know which to run. I have ARch installed now, but whenever it does something processor intensive, it freezes, and I have to restart the laptop. Any advice on this would be great.

    Here is my uname info:
    Code:
    $ uname -a
    Linux Mort 3.2.0-29-generic-pae #46-Ubuntu SMP Fri Jul 27 17:25:43 UTC 2012 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux

    I am pretty sure that core 2 Duo and newer chips are all capable of handling 64 bit OSs.

    I have a Core 2 Duo desktop at home that ran the LiveCD of 64bit Ubuntu just fine.
