1clickdownloader in Wine - how to get rid of it?

    Hi all,

I am new to ubuntu, so could someone help me how to remove 1clickdownloader program from ubuntu 12.04. I tried to find it in regestered apps but it is not there, it could be that my son has somehow installed it through wine... Internet does not help much...

Googling suggests that 1clickdownloader is not only a Windows application but a source of malware too. If so, you would be right in that it would be running under Wine. I've moved your post to the Wine sub-forum where you are more likely to get help from those with experience of Wine. From what I can find about removing this app in Windows, my guess is that the best course of action would be to completely remove Wine and all associated files, but perhaps those with more experience of Wine could confirm this. My Wine experience is somewhat dated.

I've also edited your thread title to help attract appropriate help.

    Thread moved to Wine.
