OK, so why, AGAIN do I not have the ability to run Synaptic from the dropdown Menu, I can NOT change settings in Software Sources (can change but are not saved) and does it STILL seem to be checking and even downloading unauthorized updates to the program without my approval?

This did seem to work originally, but I have not booted into 12.04.1 in 3 days and somehow it is back to doing what it was with 12.04.00 (see other recent posts..)

    Anyone have an answer?

    Thank you.

Question Re: 12.04.1-Update Manager, Synaptic, Software Sources-Complete reinstall and stil AF

Thought is was because I removed Remmina and Oneconf (and Ubuntu Desktop), and based on prior comments on this, I reinstalled both (then deleted the programs as before, aside from those two) and still is just like it was.

Also Synaptic no longer loads from dropdowns (as was before...) I again have to "Gksudo" it...

    Anyone?

    Gnome-panel

    This is weird.

It all worked as soon as I installed 12.04 and Gnome panel - I checked - then I added and deleted as shown...
