I voted no, but I'm not sure A) why this is here, and B) ultimately what you are getting at with this type of post/thread/poll. Mint works closely with the MATE team, and develops Cinnamon internally. What's the problem?

I achieve similar goals with Gnome-shell + extensions, but I think Cinnamon has more of a future than MATE because it is based on current tech rather than old tech.
In my perfect world, though, Cinnamon too would be unnecessary because Gnome devs and Mint devs would work together to make Mint's desired configuration possible using extensions to stock Gnome. Choice is good, fragmentation is not.
That's an excellent point. Linux Mint maintains their own forum, available right here.
You might as well post a poll on here suggesting that McDonalds should start carrying fried chicken. It would be every bit as relevant to Ubuntu as this poll is.
