It's not ready yet, you have to wait at least until next year.
I can't wait.
The only windows I still use, is as a media center in my bedroom, living room, and home theater.
I have tried many alternatives to windows media center.
(Media Portal, XBMC, Mythbuntu, Elisa, etc etc)
Hopefully Ubuntu TV will be the answer I have been waiting for, so I can finally kick windows out of my home.
Can't wait!!!
i would also like to know when an Ubuntu TV will be around and also how much the TV with the OS will cost...
ubuntu cornering the tv market would help its desktop counterpart also you could probly be able to link or sync ubuntu tv and desktop somehow
Go to the #ubuntu-tv channel on freenode.
Theyve got info there![]()
Don't waste your energy trying to change opinions ... Do your thing, and don't care if they like it.
I will definitely buy it when it comes out!!! I just cannot wait for it!!!!
Intel Core2Duo 2.20 GHz || 4 GB DDR3 RAM
nVidia GT 240M 1 GB || 320 GB SATA Hard Disk
Wow wow wow, that's a frenzy going on hereBut then you'll have to wait, I think it won't be released in a year
Only basic dev work is going on, I don't think the guys even talked about hardware... When waiting use Mythbuntu instead

As the Ubuntu Studio release manager and a Kubuntu developer, I do a lot of ISO testing and packaging.
Make Ubuntu 13.10 awesome~!
The Ubuntu TV team is definitely in active development. We are currently in the process of getting Unity in line with the user experience that we expect. We have designs for most of the other components that make up a TV. You can expect some pretty exciting things in the next 2 release cycles of Ubuntu.
Thanks everyone for your interest in the product. Please keep your enthusiasm up and join us in #ubuntu-tv on irc.freenode.net. Also join us at the upcoming UDS-R in Copenhagen (or virtually online) and you can help influence the product. We expect to have many specific ways that a diverse set of skills can participate in relating to the project.
