I have like no programming skills and have an old Acer Travelmate laptop in which I installed Xubuntu. Works great on it. I just cannot figure out how to watch videos on youtube. Whenever I try to install flash it won't let me.

Install the restricted-extras package if not installed. That should give you the necessary codecs. Try xubuntu-restricted-extras, or ubuntu-restricted-extras.

If you don't want the full package of restricted extras, installing flashplugin-installer should work too.
Ok so how do I do that? Like I said I don't know what I'm doing here.
Just search for flash in the Software Center, read the discription, install it - all point and click.
ok thanks!
