Planetary Annihilation - Total Annihilation just bigger!

I am rather new here as well as to Linux in general so please be nice.

I recently discovered a project on kick starter called Planetary Annihilation It is heavily inspired by Total Annihilation for those who want a point of reference. Well they recently announced that they will be supporting Linux.

Looks like an interesting idea. I would try it if it were available for Linux. Not many new RTSs out there.

Rather curious how game play would work if you are spread out across different worlds. Seems like there would have to be a lot of automation options.

While I'm not sure I have the patience for these kinds of games anymore, nice to see a high quality RTS that's going to be released with Linux support on release day! Between the Humble Bundles, Valve's Steam, Unigine, Unity3d support, and now this, looks like Linux gaming is getting a huge boost this year!

Yes, it's looking pretty good these days for Linux gamers. RTS games are very few and far between, while there seems to be around 87 or so shooters. Hell, just being able to play Starcraft I with wine is about as much RTS gaming I get to do. There is, of course Warzone 2100, which is a peach. Always room for another great RTS game, though.

That is awesome. I love the planetary bombardment from the moon, and the asteroid asssault.
