is OCZ Vertex 2 compatible with Macbook 3.1 Late 2007 and Ubuntu ?

    Hi,

I've a Macbook black 3.1 Late 2007, it run actualy on Ubuntu 12.04

I would like to upgrade it with a SSD drive.

I've found on this page a list of compatible device.

    They suggest : « OCZ Vertex 3 »

Here I read that Vertex 3 isn't compatible with this MacBook model.

Do you have some suggestion ? What SSD I must to select ?

    Thanks for your help.

    Best regards,
    Stephane

    Hey there Stéphane,

I believe you hardware doesn't support the Vertex 3 transfer rate. However it should be just fine with the Vertex 2 (I use that SSD in my MacBook Pro).
    Desktop : iMac 21.5" (2011) Core i5 Sandy Bridge - AMD Radeon HD 6750M - 8Gb RAM - OS X 10.8.3 Mountain Lion
    Laptop : EasyNote TS 44HR (2012) - Core i3 Sandy Bridge - Intel HD3000 - 4Gb RAM - elementary OS 0.2 + Windows 7 Home Premium SP1
