Question Wine not working after creating a seperate /home partition

I'm a beginner to ubuntu.. have Window 7 on most of my hard drive.. i used to play CS 1.6 on wine but last night I created a separate /home partiton.. everything works fine but when i try to launch CS which is located on an NTFS(windows) drive it says hl.exe has encountered a serious problem and needs to close, This can be caused by a problem in program or deficiency in wine so i re-configured wine, re installed wine and installed playonlinux.. none could work.. then i ended up moving the whole folder into wines virtual drive and it started working again..but outside it just wont work as it used to do.. i cant launch any windows installers now as well..

It could be a problem with the partition being NTFS. Did you "purge" wine or just uninstall it when you replaced it?
