Hi, new to Ubuntu have installed Ubuntu/win 7 dual load 2 days ago all working fine set up ufw controls and surfing away. When I boot Ubuntu my windows D: drive and the various partitions under it are listed under devices and can be accessed. What I want to do is set up one share disk or partition so that I can transfer files between the two but not have all access in both for security. I used to use unix a lot 15 years ago very rusty. I looked in fstab.d nothing there - so how is ubuntu loading the D: drive/partitions automatically. Actually if I can find the raw boot script which used to be .login .shrc filesetc you can usually just trace it through until you find out where it loads the disks. Not sure where the start point is, Cheers, G
