Question Does Google Chrome update itself in Ubuntu?

I was wondering does Google Chrome update itself in Ubuntu like it does in Windows?

Also is flash for linux being killed off by Adobe?

    Thanks

Quick answer, No. Google Chrome will not update itself, it updates the same way all the other software on ubuntu updates through the update manager.

Yes, Adobe is killing Flash for Linux, version 11.2 is the last version to target the Linux OS, but have no fear, there's HTML5, and Chrome.

I thought it might be that but I wasn't sure. Why are they killing flash for linux? I guess because it is a tiny market share compared to windows and mac os. I have tried out html5 youtube trial (think that is what it is called), it seems to work just as well as flash, smooth and reliably.
