I'm running Ubuntu 12.04, GNOME Desktop.
Just noticed that Ubuntu seems to not come with Screen Savers
Is this true?
I see posts here on problems with some screen-saver utilities installed from Software Center.
Any work correctly?

You are correct; there is no screensaver in 12.04 by default. You can certainly add what you want, but I have no experience of adding one to ubuntu 12.04. but I think those that have used xscreensaver with least problem.
Xscreensaver is included as default in both Xubuntu and Lubuntu, I believe, and it does work well in those, so I assume will be fine in Ubuntu 12.04 as well.

I installed xscreensaver in 12.04 using this guide:http://www.liberiangeek.net/2012/04/...cise-pangolin/ but note this spelling mistake in one of the screenshots Type=Applicaton (should be Application)
I ran in to a problem as discussed here in the following thread but this thread also includes a fix that worked for me & others: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1979116 (not good grammar - sorry!)
Hope this helps?
