Hauppauge WinTV HVR-950Q on Windows 7 Virtual Machine, Ubuntu Host?
Hello, I recently purchased a Hauppauge WinTV HVR-950Q TV Tuner. While I managed to (after some work) get it working with the Kaffeine player in Ubuntu, I want to have it working with Windows Media Center. To do this, I created a VirtualBox virtual machine with Windows 7 32-bit atop my Ubuntu 12.04 host. However, despite successfully getting Windows 7 up and running, VirtualBox doesn't seem to pick up my Hauppauge tuner under USB devices (or seemingly, anywhere under the devices menu). I put in the Hauppauge CD to try to install the drivers in my Windows VM, but it doesn't detect my connected Hauppauge tuner so it can't properly install drivers. This is really more of a question of, how do I get VirtualBox to pick up the Hauppauge tuner, if it doesn't show up under USB devices? Thank you!
