VirtualBox with "Bridged Adapter" slows down system

    Hi,

On my Ubuntu 12.04, VirtualBox with "Bridged Adapter" slows down the system to unbearable "speeds": switching windows takes up to a minute.

With "NAT" the speeds are (much) better.

I need the virtual hosts to have direct access to the LAN, and thus I choose Bridged Adapter.

I Googled and found https://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/9380, but that seems unrelated (although I use IPv6).

    Any tips to solve this?

I haven't noticed any speed difference between NAT and Bridged, but I am not using IPv6.
