    MS paint for Ubuntu?

Anyone know of a small app that will allow me to make a quick drawing and save it as a *.png in Dapper? I'm sure that gimp can do that and more, but I want something simple and without a steep learning curve. Thoughts?

    Hmm, maybe gpaint?

The idea of copyright did not exist in ancient times, when authors frequently copied other authors at length in works of non-fiction. This practice was useful, and is the only way many authors' works have survived even in part. -- Richard Stallman

    mtpaint.

At least for feature vs downloads, since it isn't that much bigger but offers a lot imo.

EDIT: Oh foolish me! Who the ---- bumps a 3 year old thread!?!

    I shall bump too.

Mtpaint is the winner. Gpaint doesn't let you undo. You have to be able to undo, period. Kolorpaint doesn't let you pick the width of the lines that you draw. You need to be able to do that, period. Mtpaint does both.
Odd, defensive reactions to feature requests still don't create happy users. Having incomplete features on free software doesn't help anybody either.
    But mtpaint is king!
