    Starting a program at boot

So I use screen dimming software called "redshift". Whenever I boot, I usually just open a terminal and type that in to run it. Is there an automated way to run this upon boot?

Another question; is there a way to execute a command in the background of a terminal? I've heard that a & after a command does this, but I haven't had much luck when I tried putting that after a command.

Hi, any idea how to do this in lubuntu 1.4 as I have the same problem as ryanyeah.

Redshift only starts if I type gtk-redshift -l 53.48:1.33 into a terminal even though the prog is installed.
I can't find any "Startup Apps" settings
