Hi Welly, this is my PC HWD and Setup:And most important:
HWD: Gateway SX2801, Intel Pentium E5500 2 threads 2.8 GHZ, 5 GB Ram DDR3, Intel GMA x4500 Graphics.
SOFTW: Ubuntu (start with 7.04 & actually have UCE 12.04), Virtual box 4.2.4 with guests: M.W.7 H.P. 64 bits SP1 with OEM License & M.W.8 R.P.
With the same low-cost hardware and Ubuntu + W7 (guest) 3 years ago I started high school, I graduated, and I am currently in higher education, my goal is to graduate as a Systems Engineer.
In contrast, my university, in Latin America, I demanded to use only Windows, not Mac, but as Linux enthusiast, I managed and Ubuntu does not leave my PC for anything.
I forgot, in a matter of safety, I select a simple settings for my VM run with only 2 GB allocated:
Antivirus and antispyware: Microsoft Security Essentials 4
Weekly maintenance with the same tools of windows:
cleaning, defragmentation, CHKDSK
With MSE4: full scan.
W7 guest only used to study, not more.
In my experience, the more security programs you have installed, you will have more problems in your Windows, becomes unstable.
Evade security suites at all costs, will bring only system problems.
Sorry for my english, I´m not english user.
