    Display Resolution Changed on Reboot

    Hello,
I installed recently, and the resolution has changed and monitor is no longer recognized in System Settings | Displays.

    I expect to see 1280 x 1024 5:4, but 1024 x 768 4:3 is the largest option.

When I click "Detect Displays" there is no visible response.

How can I restore the correct display settings?

    Thank you.

    Regards,
    Brian

Re: Display Resolution Changed on Reboot

    I am able to use
    Code:
    xrandr -s 1280x1024
to restore the resolution, but I would like to know why the display settings changed in the first place. Any ideas.

    Thank you.

    Regards,
    Brian

maybe you need to talk a little about your system to get some help : graphic driver, desktop, distro

Thanks. I'll repost in another forum if the need arises.
