Angry Gedit LaTeX save file issue

I've just started using gedit with the LaTeX plugin, and it's behaving weirdly. Whenever I save a file, the cursor position is moved to highlight the parent \section line.

I've attached a screenshot showing what I mean. I was editing the table and hit CTRL+S. The file was saved, but now the \section is highlighted.

Does anyone know how to stop this from happening?

    Steve.

I also encountered a similar problem, except that the cursor moves to an apparently random point after saving.
I use Ubuntu 12.04 with Gnome Shell and I have the 3.4.1 version of Gedit and the 3.4.0-1 version of the plugin for LaTeX (gedit-latex-plugin).

I think this bug is similar to the problem presented here, but I'm not so good to try to resolve the problem without the risk of doing damage. Does anyone have the patience to read and tell me exactly what to do?
