    Me either. I don't have much experince with VM's. Nice thing is you can wipe them out and start over.

    the output of apt-get update also have this:


    W: Failed to fetch http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/...-i386/Packages 404 Not Found

    E: Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead.

    If i try reinstall dpkg like that:

    apt-get install --reinstall dpkg

    i get this error:

    Reinstallation of dpkg is not possible, it cannot be downloaded.
