Angry draftsight not working without internet connection

    Hi,

I am new to ubuntu. I have ubuntu 12.04 installed in my 32bit computer and also draftsight installed.

the problem is that the draftsight won't open if there is no internet connection.
when i run it through terminal the error is as mentioned below:

    QFSFileEngine:pen: No file name specified
    Segmentation fault (core dumped)

...the splash screen appears and it exits mentioning the above error.

But when broadband is connected then it works fine.
Please help, i want to use it without connecting to internet all the time.

    BUMP.

Just discovered this issue as well.

It would be nice to be able to Launche program without the internet.

Although you can run program without internet be nice to launch it without.

I would imagine it is something DS may have programmed in to verify user on start up.

Re: draftsight not working without internet connection

well isnt it a one time register.... or does it check everytime wethere it's registered or not.
Is this because of some kind of bug or they made it that way.

as you've said it would be nice for one time registration only.

can anybody have some insight on this.
