    Re: 12.01 Ethernet works sporadically

[ 19.657359] e1000e: eth0 NIC Link is Up 100 Mbps Full Duplex, Flow Control: None
    [ 19.657365] e1000e 0000:00:19.0: eth0: 10/100 speed: disabling TSO
Sounds interesting. Let's have a look at:
    Code:
    dmesg | grep -e e100 -e eth
    Thanks.

Ok. Now All of a sudden the ETHERNET WORKS and I have no idea why it works. Here is the output for what chill has suggested. I think I have to wait for a time when it does not work and post it.

    Code:
    ravikanth@ravikanth-ThinkPad-X200-Tablet:~$ dmesg | grep -e e100 -e eth

    Yes, please.

In any case, I'm glad it's working.

    Re: 12.04 Ethernet works sporadically

I have been watching my laptop after shutting down the IPV6 access. I would like to report that it has been working fine for the past 24 hours. I am assuming it wont be problem in the future either.

The second method suggested by Gone Fishing has worked. Thank you everybody for taking the time to help me out.
