Gday everyone

Symptoms: On boot, when i reach the login screen, i type in my password. On exactly the 4th character of the password (every time, reproduced many times) the whole system freezes up and will not respond until restart. This does not happen every time, but it happens often enough to be a big problem.

Temporary fix: switching to a different desktop environment sometimes (but not every time) fixes the issue.

Should I post a bug report on launchpad? Or has this issue been solved previously?
