    Ubuntu wont boot

    Hello everyone,

    I recently installed my Ubuntu updates and ever since then my Ubuntu wont boot. What can I do?

    Any other information? That's not much to go on...

    Have you tried booting in recovery mode or selecting a previous kernel in grub?

    You can uninstall,if you have the dual boot for windows, you just have to run the wubi.exe
    file and unistall and install again.

    thank you for replying. the information I cant access is precious. can you explain to me how i can book boot in a previous mode? how do i select a different kernel?

    i also had a question: can I boot in windows and retrieve my ubuntu files somehow? I think windows wont recognize my ubuntu partition / drive. is it because of the partition? does ubuntu use something else than FAT or NTFS?
