How to setup mythbuntu for movies only?

I just want to use Mythbuntu for movies that I have already pre-installed on my hard drive. I do not want any other features like the TV DVR, music, photo viewing and so forth, how do I eliminate all of these other features from the GUI?

Thanks a bunch for any help

    Hi RTIInstaller.

The best solution for local media (local HD or LAN shares) is not MythTV but XBMC.

Depending how much time did you invest on your Mythbuntu installation, you may either:
    • Install XBMC inside Mythbuntu.
    • Install regular Ubuntu and install XBMC.
    • Use or install XMBCbuntu.

I hope that points your in the right direction. Tell us how it goes.
    Regards.
