    location of imported documents

    Hi,

I have installed Lubuntu 12.04 side by side with Ubuntu 10.04 (I want to get the feel of it before changing completely). During installation I checked the box for it to import my documents and settings from Ubuntu 10.04. Naturally I expected to find my old Documents folder in Lubuntu, but the Documents folder in my home folder is empty.

Where should I look for my imported documents?

    Many thanks.

maybe it would be easier to open the file manager, and click the partition which has ubuntu (from the left pane), find your files, copy them, then click your home folder and paste into the relevant folders?

Yes, thank you. I have a backup of all my files and folders on a USB drive anyway. However, just wondering why the import option during installation seems not to have worked. It would have been convenient to have my preexisting settings imported automatically.
