[SOLVED] 12.04: How to output audio through hdmi-stereo-1 or other extra hdmi

    Dear All
I want to output my audio through HDMI/DisplayPort-2, but I found "HDMI/DisplayPort 2" can't be shown in tool "gnome-control-center sound". After I edit the default.conf file of pulseaudio, the HDMI2 can be shown now. Unfortunately, when I choose it in “gnome-control-center sound”, audio cannot be outputted. The only way I can play audio is pointing the hw device during playback, likes: aplay -Dplughw:0,7 xxx.wav.

How can I make it works when I select on output "HDMI/DisplayPort 2"?

BTW, I found if I download source code of gnome-control-center from Ubuntu by "apt-get source gnome-control-center" (version 3.4.1, same as the tool inbox) or from gnome-control-center website, then compile and install it into my OS, the imbedded audio codec can't be shown.

Could anyone give me a hand on this issue?
    Thanks a lot.
    BR//Annie

    Resolved!
Porting the extra-hdmi setting from extra-hdmi.conf to default.conf is OK!
