If you want to install the game in its default location (/usr/local/games/), then you'll need to user superuser perms to start the game.
    I'll second this, although it's a weird error. I read your post about 5 hours ago and tried opening the game as root. Sure enough, 5 hours later I reluctantly put this epically intense game down to let you know it works.

    Now what of the issue with Amnesia???

    Edit: I reinstalled AMD drivers and all's well with Amnesia.

    I see, didn't know there was an FAQ. Still not ideal (especially since the sound doesn't seem to work anyway), but as long as the engine itself is native, I guess it sort of is platform independent.

    I tried the solution offered here, and it worked for me.

    Code:
    The solution is to add this line
    <dllmap os="linux" dll="libXi" target="libXi.so.6"/>
    to file 'OpenTK.dll.config'.

    There is, however, a window that pops up with some information when the game dumps out, but it disappears too quickly for me to read anything on it.
    edit <REP_INST>/Bastion/OpenTK.dll.config
    and add :
    <dllmap os="linux" dll="libXi" target="libXi.so.6"/>

    And now it works !

    This is the BEST Humble Bundle out, maybe ever. Get it get it get it!!!

    PS--I have weird problems with USC; it seriously needs a Home button. I ended up downloading the games from the Humble Bundle page and can report (so far) that (a) they all run (12.04 with MATE, Nvidia GX920), (b) that Bastion is one intense action game, (c) Amnesia is SCARY even with the lights on. Haven't played the others yet, but this is one serious deal for Linux gamers; and, yes, Linux users pay more per order than Mac or Windows users. Horray for our side!

    I drink my Ubuntu black, no sugar.

    Yeah, that's what I did. It doesn't seem completely necessary though, strangely enough. When I installed the game to my home folder, all the previous issues I had went away! No tweaks, or anything extra needed.

    I've purchased many of the bundles in the past, but this one is definitely top-notch. Bastion is an amazing game; Limbo is one intense, engaging experience; Psychonauts is a great PS2-era platformer; and Amnesia? Well, when I gather the courage to play it, I'm sure it'll be good too.

    But there is one! If you click the All Software button, you'll be taken back to USC's front screen.

    BTW, Limbo, Sword & Sorcery, and Amnesia are now in USC, so installing them should be easier now.

    Hey, Jono Bacon is saying there's more to come! Maybe we'll be able to redeem all our previously purchased HIB games in USC? Let's hope so! (Redeeming Desura games in USC would be wonderful too.)

    Have you tried it? I can't add them to the USC.

    The next issue is that Limbo has no sound. Any solutions to that?

    Hi I'm having a problem with limbo, I'm getting an error about It not being able to find directx 9.

    Also with Bastion I get a terminal window for a couple of seconds and it then shuts down.
