Received yet another infraction -- You can't be serious

I've received yet another infraction based on a comment I made in the community cafe. Its no surprise the infraction was given to me from my old friend KiwiNZ -- who somehow is about the only moderator to give me infractions. This time I was accused of trolling, followed by a definition of what trolling was. Besides trolling really representing a "slang" term, I was definitely not trolling based on the definition layed forth. I ask this infraction to be removed.

I'm uncertain if my comment was removed -- I'm betting it was, however I ask that you read the entire thread to understand the tongue-in-cheek humor going on throughout the post. I actually enjoyed the irony from some of the various participants -- very light-hearted. My comment was posted from someone having been married for quite a long time!

I can also see the irony of my statement was lost, as it was in reference to the U2 song -- Tryin' to Throw Your Arms Around the World -- specifically the lyric -- a woman needs a man like a fish needs a bicycle. In reference to this lyric, I asked a similar question:
Wives wanting Ubuntu??? Isn't that like fish wanting bicycles?

I can see the reference was somehow "lost in translation".

As you well know, in written media, it is pretty hard to tell context, unless you are really familiar with a persons writing style. As you said the comment was meant to be ironic, and we the staff may have taken it that way, but for those that don't know your posting style, it could be taken as a trollish comment. In the future I'd suggest you add some sort of indication that the comment wasn't meant seriously, as we are seeing quite a few new forum community members in the Cafe..

I'll reverse the infraction this time.
