Flash crashing.

I was constantly getting a "please update flash player" in Chrome, so I looked up how to do it and someone suggested to install "flashplugin-installer". So I did, but it started to delete a lot of seemingly important packages so I stopped it right away.

I reinstaled "adobe-flashplugin" but it's not working anymore. It just crashes everytime.

How can I reinstall from scratch the whole flash thing?

I'm using Linux Mint 12, but is most the same as ubuntu.
