Is there a way to view what the process ID is per window in Ubuntu 12.X? For example if you right click on the window you cant see what process number it is or even what the name of the process is.

I have a virtual box CentOS 6.2 that crashed after a firefox page load and it doesn't seem to be able to close even if I try to kill it off from both the command line and also System Monitor.

killall VirtualBox # doesn't work
killall -9 PID #doesn't work

Ideas or suggestions? This seems to happen for a lot of network related processes including sshfs.

Take care,
