Problem Displaying Japanese on lubuntu 12.04 LTS

I am having difficulty enabling Japanese characters to be entered or displayed on my computer. I am using the language learning site Livemocha as an aid to learning Japanese, and am having difficulty displaying the statement below:
    このコインは金色です。(http://www.livemocha.com/learn/Japanese/l:416/e:2592)
On my computer it displays fine above, but is only displayed as boxes on the site. It displays fine in Windows 7. The website is flash based. I am using Firefox 12.0, and Flash Player 11.2.202.235 I am not sure if everyone here has access to it but I have included a direct link above. I am a bit of a novice because I only just installed a method of typing in Japanese.

Try this - http://www.jp41.com/firefox/japanese/. And yes it will work with Linux(or it should, I don't see why it wouldn't).

I did those actions and the site still does not display Japanese writing in the flash portions. I can copy and paste the text to read it if I really need to, of course but it will not display within the site.
