hello everyone!
i am trying to setup my email account in thunderbird 12.0.1 (ubuntu precise pangolin 64 bits) and the automatic configuration gives the following message:
"thunderbird failed to find the settings for your email account"
when i tried to setup my account in a notebook with ubuntu lucid lynx it gives the same message...and i also tried setting using a second notebook with windows and it worked creating an account.
yesterday when i used icedove on debian i could check my emails.
When searching on the web, i found in forums people with the same messages, and that was solved when they closed their antivirus (that was a windows forum)
when i try to manually configure my account, this is possible to create, but at the first check, thunderbird says that was impossible to connect to server.
changing "port" from "auto" to 143 (imap) or 587 (smtp) is enough for making the "create account" button avaliable to click on, but when i click it says : configuration could not be verified - is the username of password wrong?
has anyone here issues with thunderbird too?
thanks in advance and kind regards
