weird colorful screen

Hi friends does anyone have any idea about this weird screen that I get time to time.
Some time while adjusting brightness, while resuming from lock screen.

Does the screen stay this way or is it able to recover? Looks to me like a graphics card issue, either with the driver or even a hardware issue. What are your hardware specs and what graphics driver do you use?

No I have to switch of my laptop and then switch it back on.

I have a ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5400 Series

Is there any place in logs where I can look and find the issue?
