    the file can't be saved. isn't there any easy way to configure it?

    Make sure you start the editing with gksudo so that you have root access to the file. Like this:
    Code:
    gksudo gedit /etc/default/grub
    ...this will open the file for writing with root privledges.

    I own a Acer Aspire 4752-6600 and the config #1 fix the problem with the brightness! thanks!
