Hi guys,
I'm new to Linux. I'm running Windows 7 and want to dualboot. I got Wubi and installed Ubuntu. Worked great and everything worked. I don't particularly like the look of it so I tried Kubuntu, again with Wibu. Everytime I boot up, it just gets stuck at the grey loading screen. Here is a pic:

Initially the dots move, but then there are no dots and nothing happens. I tried both 32bit and 64bit with the same result. Strangely the live CD works fine when I boot from USB key. I'm not sure why it's not working with Wubi
I tried booting with the ACPI workaround option and it gets stuck at this screen:

My system is a Dell Vostro 1400. It's a Core 2 duo processor with 3GB RAM
I don't understand why Ubuntu boots up fine but Kubuntu doesn't. I didn't realize there was much difference between the two. I would prefer to use Kubuntu because it's very minimalistic. Any advice would be appreciate to get it to work
Thanks!
