Apparently there is an iOS app for transmission, see http://torrentfreak.com/transmission...ne-app-110103/.

But who wants to install silly apps? The transmission web interface works great on the iphone or any remote client.

As a relative Ubuntu newbie, I've gotten good usage out of the Transmission program that comes with Ubuntu. +1 Transmission.

Try and choose. No one can force you what to use
    However, +1 for Deluge.

If you would like to try something a little different to the gui applications have a look at rtorrent which has served me very well for quite some time now...
You think that's air you're breathing now?
