So, I decided to extract some audio from a HD MP4 video file I have using avidemux today only to find it's not working properly.

When I start avidemux, it opens ok. Then, I click "Help" and "About" and "about" window appears, showing the version number (2.5.4). When I click "Close", avidemux just hangs. The main application window gets shadowed out and nothing happens. I end up terminating it by issuing a "kill" command in a terminal window.

As a test just now, I fired up avidemux and went into the Preferences. I checked the audio settings and clicked "Ok". The Preferences window is still displayed and the main avidemux window is shadowed out. *sigh*

Any ideas on how to resolve this? Also, does anyone know when a newer version of Avidemux will hit the Ubuntu repositories?

Thanks!

Peace...
