    Secure emails

Becoming concerned with keeping my correspondence truly private. I would like to know if anyone has thoughts/suggestions on keeping e-mail messages secure.
I'd be interested in some sort of program that generates a 'key' that could be sent under separate means, that when put together would make it impossible for anyone other than the recipient to read the contents.

You can use Enigmail with Thunderbird. It uses openpgp (gpg) encryption with public key and private key. Look at

    Re: Secure emails

Thunderbird + Enigmail work well together, the hard bit is convincing those you wish to correspond with to use it. They should also be safe from prying eyes when held upon Google servers but please be sure use a long hard pass phrase.
