    Organizing playonlinux program list

A minor issue but I am wondering if there is any way to organize the list of installed windows programs in PoL. By default it's in alphabetical order but there are some windows programs I use more then others and would like to organize the list accordingly but can not find any way to do so. I suspect there is no way to do this but I figured I'd ask in case I missed something.

The only way I've found is to change the name. Click on one of the programs, then click the Configure button. Then in the General tab, you can change the name listed. I installed Microsoft Office 2007 in PoL. "Microsoft Word 2007" is the last Office app listed, alphabetically. When I changed the name to "1 Microsoft Word 2007", it moved it to the top of the list. So you could probably figure out how to organize things using a numbering system like that.

It may not be the perfect solution, but it works. Just be aware that if you have manually created any desktop launchers, doing this may cause them to not work until you change the name in that, too.

I was afraid of that, that really bugs me it doesn't have something like that. I'm tempted to take a peek at the source code to see if I can add it in but I don't have the time.

There are a lot of things that bug me about PoL. Like the fact that you can associate files with MS Office if you install it with Wine, but you can't if you install it with PoL, and PoL installed things don't come up in a Dash search or the menus.

True, but on the whole I prefer it over straight wine. It's much easier to mess around with without breaking something that already works right. Don't know how many times I accidentally did that with straight wine even with trying to be careful with prefixes.
